About Our Farm
The Martin family has been farming at Nunton, near Salisbury, for four generations. It all began in 1929, when John Martin arrived in Salisbury by train with 25 Ayrshire cows.
Over the years, the farm has grown in partnership with the Longford Estate and has gradually developed into what it is today: an 800-cow dairy with modern milking facilities.
Our Friesian and Jersey cross cows live free range on Salisbury’s water meadows.
We look after our herd and our land together, farming in a way that works with nature to support wildlife and keep the farm thriving for generations to come.

Our Vending Machines
Our vending machines are regularly stocked with our delicious, unhomogenised, whole milk, pasteurised right here on the farm at Nunton!
The vending machines are a much more eco-friendly way to get your milk. As a local product it travels less distance to get to your kitchen & the glass bottles are for you to keep and use over & over again, which means no plastic!
You’ll also find a selection of locally sourced produce in our machines, including yoghurts, butter, eggs, cheese and honey from producers we know and trust.

Our Ethos
At Nunton Farm we care deeply about the land we steward and the food we produce. Our pastures, cattle, soils, waterways and people are all part of one living farm system.
Our cows spend most of the year outdoors, grazing diverse pastures that are managed to support animal health, soil life and the wider ecology of the farm. Good grazing, careful stockmanship and time to behave naturally all play a part in producing milk that reflects the land it comes from.
Beyond our own fields, we take an active role in collaborative farming initiatives across the local catchment. By working alongside neighbouring farms, we contribute to shared efforts that support biodiversity, healthy waterways and resilient landscapes, recognising that these systems work best when cared for collectively.
Our farm is shaped by the people who work here. Our team brings experience, care and attention to the day-to-day running of the farm, and we are committed to sharing that knowledge. Through work experience and apprenticeships, we offer practical opportunities for people to learn, build skills and better understand where food comes from.
Farming here is about caring for land, animals and people in a way that allows the farm to remain productive, healthy and rooted in its place for the long term.
